Congratulations on the birth of your child! We look forward to welcoming them into God's family, the Church. Baptisms take place on the Second Sunday of the month. Parents are asked to make arrangements for baptism at least two months prior to the desired baptism date. Parents are also requested to attend baptism preparation class prior to the baptism. the baptism preparation class is ordinarily held on the last Thursday of the month at 7:00PM or by appointment during faith formation office hours Monday-Thursday.

Children over the age or 8 years old and Adults who have not been baptized who are interested in baptism through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) are asked to contact our Coordinator of Faith Formation by calling (781) 893-8461 or via E-mail.

COMMUNION

The Sacrament of First Holy Communion takes place in spring of second grade, however preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion begin in first grade faith formation class.  We invite and encourage Catholic parents to register their children for Faith Formation (Religious Education) classes when they begin school in either Pre-K, Kindergarten or first grade as we have classes in early childhood faith formation. The best way parents can help to prepare their child for the Eucharist is by bringing them to Mass early and often. This will help them to develop a desire and appreciation for the Mass and the holy Eucharist.

CONFIRMATION

Teen confirmation is ordinarily celebrated in the spring of the tenth grade/sophomore year of high school when students are between 15 and 16 years of age, depending on their desire and readiness for the sacrament.

Adult confirmation preparation is handled on an individual basis over the course of four sessions beginning in January of each year. We make every effort to schedule the sessions at times most convenient for the potential candidate. Please contact the Faith Formation Office (781) 893-8461 for additional information, or e-mail.
